The Kai S39 Height Adjustable Stool by Lapalma was designed in 2006 by Shin Asumi. In Japanese the work "Kai" means shell. Like a shell that opens and reveals its very soft interior, the Lapalma Kai Height Adjustable Stool perfectly adapts to the body. Thanks to a fold in the backrest, the Kai provides excellent support or comfort. With its minimalist design, it has a versatile and strong personality.
In addition to the Kai Stool, Shin Asumi is the designer of Lapalmas contemporary classic LEM Stool.
