Michael Thonet No. 25 Bentwood Chair by Ton

The Michael Thonet No. 25 Bentwood Chair exhibits the exquisite craftsmanship of Czech bentwood artisans.  Using multiple pieces of steam-bent wood and historical manufacturing methods, TON's production of the No. 25 Bentwood Chairs is as beautiful now as they were over 100 years ago.

Through the years, many variations of the No. 25 Bentwood Chair have been made.  This model is made at one of Michael Thonet's original factories located in the Czech Republic. The factory still exists over 150 years after its inception creating bentwood in classic as well as contemporary styles.

In 1865, Michael Thonet’s bentwood chairs, especially the No. 14 bentwood chair, were being used in restaurants, theaters, homes, prisons, hospitals, churches, and even courtrooms.  The bentwood chair and other bentwood furniture became popular around the world due to their low cost, durability, and flexibility.
